Chris “Guts” Griffiths clinches British SUP Championship

chris guts griffiths onfire
Onfire sponsored rider Chris “Guts” Griffiths put on a stellar performance down at Fistral Beach last weekend to take the title of SUP British Champion . Whilst conditions were far from perfect, Griffiths put on a stylish performance to beat a quality field including fellow finalists Adam Zervais and Tim Mellors.

Guts said after his win “I am really proud to have become the very first British Champion at Stand up Paddle Surfing. This is a new surfing discipline and one that is becoming a huge global sensation and winning the British title is the first step along the road to hopefully competing in the European and world contests that are going to be happening over the next year or so! I would really like to thank the British Surfing Association and C4 for putting on the event and giving everyone a chance to compete for a very special title. I would also really like to thank my sponsors O’Neill ,Reef,Onfire ,Jimmy Lewis and Kialoa paddles for all their help and support.”

Congrats to RAF fundraisers

raf-pic-for-blog

Well done to Mathew and the rest of the Joint Air Delivery Test Evaluation Unit from the RAF in Brize Norton. They recently got in touch about a London to Brighton bike ride they were working on to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation. We were happy to get involved, sent out some kit and are pleased to report the team completed the 54 miles in 4 hours and 26 minutes. More importantly they rasied just short of £2500 - a great effort !
